the urban heat island effect has polluted much of the "warming measurements" -- the measurements in urban areas are subject to urban heat effects (concrete) and show temp rises much greater than non urban areas.

and in many cases there is no warming observed at all as greening (more trees) flourish (co2 is plant food)
