Although not the most popular they are the most polluting in terms of emissions. We need to have batteries that don't contain any toxic materials, or require the exploitation of people to mine them. And of course the power needs to be created cleanly. If everyone suddenly changed to electric vehicles we wouldn't have enough power stations to meet demand, or anywhere to charge them. I feel we aren't quite ready for electric vehicles.",
