Conflicts between sons, one of them a veteran with problems with his partner, and the (so far) heir to the empire. A dead son, another who is a pussy, a daughter who is a trouble magnet, a dead horse in the first episode, the patriarch leading an empire in legally questionable ways with a rescued stepson who as he grows up becomes his most trusted right-hand man. Plus corrupt politicians and outside groups that threaten to end his entire legacy.


I just finished the first season of Yellowstone, it's good, but I think it borrowed a lot (maybe too much), from The Godfather.
