Louis Conde (npub12xe…vshq) homeschooling is making the biggest dent in the public school system. What we are going to see is a mass exodus of teachers from private schools to public as the money flows into the public system, then the private schools who can't offer something unique (music, languages, skills, etc) will languish and die as the demographic who can afford them also dies.
The hyper rich are already using other countries school systems by being dual citizens or completely abandoning the US citizenship.
I would put money on homeschooled groups which follow the swiss/French model to team up with private schools and start to operate parallel schooling institutions. The legal backlash from regional governments will be a major problem here.
