Since almost all articles are behind paywalls nowadays, I don't click on links to them anymore.

This means my level of information is headlines only. I am learning to live solely on soundbites.

I'm probably not the only person doing this. It can't end well.

Eventually if people stop clicking on the articles, what's the point of writing them in the first place?

This would complete the collapse of the web as a system for keeping people informed.
