Prof. Sam Lawler on Nostr: My workhorse laptop (2019 Lenovo Thinkpad T480 running Ubuntu 22.04) for teaching, ...
My workhorse laptop (2019 Lenovo Thinkpad T480 running Ubuntu 22.04) for teaching, zooming, and light computational work (but mostly accessing astro cloud computing) is getting less and less reliable. I find I now have to restart ~twice a day to have it not freeze at inopportune times (like in the middle of a lecture).
Anything simple I can do to make it last a little longer? Or is it time for a new one? Recommendations? (I HATE buying new stuff...)
