I see the traps on my runs and I looked them up to see if they worked as we have the beetles everywhere as well. They use pheromones to attract the beetles so you could end up attracting more to the location. The advice was to place them far away from your plants to draw them away and catch them. However, I don't know how many people have access to distant enough places to locate them. Perhaps those with huge properties?
