German Chancellor Olaf Scholz called Vladimir Putin to ask for an end, or at least a reduction, in Russian attacks on Ukrainian cities. Today, just one day later, Putin responded to the German request by launching 120 missiles and 90 drones against power and heating plants in major Ukrainian cities.
