This is something that is very apparent when viewing American politics from the outside. Everything is so dramatic, and the drama fuels conflict and chaos. Journalists typically love drama. It’s more fun to write about than reading policy documents. But in reality, people lead better and happier lives when politics is boring and driven by careful policy.
