Been thinking a lot about the Post Office shitstorm and the one thing that sticks with me is everyone on the Post Office’s side was doing their job properly. Sure, it was immoral and heartless and they should have known better, but they did nothing that wasn’t in their job descriptions.

This is why it’s taken 20-odd years to resolve, and also why those in power and the oligarch press are looking for individual scapegoats, because it’s this way for a very good (ie bad) reason.
