We have a dressing room off of our bedroom. It houses the cat food bowls and the litter box. We put a latching baby gate across the door that has a small opening for the cat but keeps the dogs out. Even though I find it hard to open the gate, one of our dogs has figured it out. It took us a bit to figure out it was her that was opening it so I have had to put up with my wife complaining to me that I was leaving it open. There is no end to my suffering.
