Writing Wonders Day 8/2. How much do you know about your side characters prior to the 1st draft?
I'm a pantser - I've written a 100K crime thriller with a twist ending I didn't see coming.
I don't even know who the SCs are when I start.
But MONSTERS was planned to within an inch of its life, originally it was a TV series and scripts must be planned.
Which is to say I knew what every character *did*, but that didn't mean I knew who every character *was*.
