The Daddy-long-legs Spider feeds on insects and other spiders
Could it be long legs is attracted by insects and spiders we are unaware of, thereby serving a purpose ?
I have no idea why spiders prefer this particular corner out of my entire apartment.
But I swear every week I kill one of these bastards and sweep down his web and then a new one shows up a few days later.
