Valid points, but it’s still super early for the protocol, I like the approach of keeping it smaller and more contained with a sign up fee - a lot less bots compared to nostr, that a trade off for the beginning

But for later have to trust dwr yeah to decentralize the protocol. The community feels strong there with many folks from ex Coinbase and builders of base chain are in which makes up for a unique setup.

For user experience Warpcast was unmatched in Nostr world even with this huge amount of clients available now - there wasn’t even one useable for a non technical person or who’s going to tolerate multiple bugs, crashes, notes not posted etc.

Primal update changed the game a lot on my opinion.

I think it’s also good to have other people explore different approaches to social protocols and there’s lots of fun stuff on Base chain and coming up.

For example basepaint project, would something like this be possible on nostr/btc?

What they did with frames recently is something I haven’t seen nostr clients attempt to do? Is there an example?

But if we’re talking about the ultimate protocol - nostr can win it long term with much more developer saturation, but I haven’t seen much of a progress on nostr vs farcaster in the last 6 months, maybe it’s just still too early for a great UX on nostr
