I use Kikkoman for most of my recipes. It's good and easy to find, and damn it, I like the mid-century bottle.
La Choy is soy-sauce-themed chemically flavored water.
Some of the sushi restaurants around here serve Kikkoman on the table, but if you get takeout, they give you packets of synthetic soy sauce. It tastes horrific to me.
