I want to expand on something I said this morning about the possibility of illegals being armed by the government as some sort of 21st century Janissary army. While yes, it is possible to arm as many of these people as the government wants, this doesn't magically make them a fighting force. Handing a man a rifle doesn't make them an operator. It takes training, skill, motivation, and leadership to do this, which is something I think our government lacks on multiple levels. Taking cadres of multiple nationalities, from all over the globe, and thinking "you're one of our guys now" is foolish, and frankly ridiculous enough that someone in government is actually trying to accomplish it.

So when I said "They would lose" I meant it. This would be the Battalion of Babel, with every command, control, logistics, and personnel issue you could imagine. There aren't many governments out there that would attempt this, but one that spends $34,000,000,000,000 more than they've taken in over their history certainly qualifies.
