Had a little conversation today with a suburban dad who drives a big ole pick up truck (not modded or jacked up but still full size) when I was getting ready for my ride in Upton.
Him: nice car!
Me: Thanks! (Thought he just saw the brand badge)
Him: my dream car actually.
Me: Really?? Electric? (I was genuinely surprised because I thought Taycan isn’t really on people’s radar)
Him: Hell yeah. Just sold my Tesla Model X because it didn’t get the promised range. It claimed it could go 300+ miles but in real life it was only a little over 200 miles.
Me: oh that sucks. See this thing (pointing to my car) claims it can go 277 miles but I often get over 300 miles range.
Him: oh yeah that’s how you should do things. Under promise but over delivery. Porsche always does that.
Me: Yes exactly. (Then I went on about my 911 and why I traded it for Taycan).
Lovely little unexpected conversation. The fact that he’s hot also made it a bit more enjoyable. 🤣
