Tree planting season in U.K. starts “at some point” in November, when it’s cold enough at nurseries the trees go dormant and can be lifted as “bare root” saplings.
That uncertainty makes it hard to plan, so we crack on throughout October and most of November with “cell grown” saplings, then use bare root onwsrds. Helps us plant for more of the year, and we almost never have to reschedule a planting date.
