Banks charging vendors 6% for card transactions are profiteering. Plainly the automated processing of a small transaction involves no more, and no less, "work" than a larger one. There is no justification for charging a percentile (instead of a fixed fee), let alone such an exhorbitant one. A competent Government with interests of electors at heart would have regulated this long ago. Instead, under Merchant Banker #Sunak we have Government of the Bankers, for the Bankers
