In theory, let's say there is another pandemic, you are saying we should do what was done last time?

Are you saying the government should bypass the extreme ethical problems with forcing medicine on people, controlling information and forcing people to stop interacting with each other, arbitrarily close businesses because we are told it could be dangerous?

Like last time, it's impossible to close everything. Gyms and yoga studios were closed, people were even arrested alone on the beach.

Fast food, groceries, liquor stores and large corporate businesses stayed open and were massively profitable.

So you are advocating for some people to arbitrarily lose their business, and let the hourly workers serve everybody living off the government or who are able to work from home for the massive corporations. You don't see a conflict there?

You don't see the potential for a broken healthcare system pushing through therapeutics and medicine to make money? Or any incentive for the government or corrupt politicians?

And if they force people to take medicine against their will, or use things like respirators and people have major health problems what happens? An injured individual has much less influence power or resources than medicine companies.

You are advocating for authoritarian rule under the guise of safety. It's not ok to force medicine on people. Or to force people out of business or to stop them from interacting. They are adults just like you. You want to give them information? Great. Anything beyond that is unethical. If you are worried, you should stay home. People are not going to stay inside on the wishes of the government to "nip it in the bud" early. Not going to happen, as mentioned above it's literally impossible and most of the world is going to carry on regardless anyway. Especially people who don't pay attention to the media and the powers that be or live outside their reach.
