Parenthetically: I have been reading breathless pieces arguing that quantum computing would make existing cryptographic techniques obsolete for 20-30 years now, and the next quantum computer to come along that can run Shor's Algorithm *usefully* will be the first. (I do not consider factoring the number 35 on a multimillion dollar experimental device like IBM Q System One to be "useful".)
