In the early days of the web it was fashionable to want to do away with “The Gatekeepers.” I suppose we have. We’ve replaced a few hundred powerful newspapers and opinion makers, with a few thousand teenagers and 20-somethings who consider themselves authorities on pretty much everything. I haven’t read anyone writing about or reckoning with this massive change in our social tectonics. Have you?
