Don’t Miss the Full Lunar Eclipse on March 13-14!!!
🔭 🌑
Start planning for this incredible celestial event now! On the night of Thursday, March 13th, into the early hours of the 14th, a total lunar eclipse will take place, turning the Moon a stunning coppery red during totality.
Here’s what West Virginia residents can expect:
🔹 Penumbral Eclipse Begins – (11:57 PM)
The Moon enters Earth’s outer shadow. The dimming is very subtle but noticeable.
🔹 Partial Eclipse Begins – (1:09 AM)
A dark "bite" appears on the Moon as it starts moving into Earth’s umbra.
🔹 Totality Begins – (2:26 AM) 🔴
The entire Moon is now in Earth’s shadow, glowing a deep red. Grab binoculars or a telescope for the best view! Want to capture it? Use a tripod and long exposures for stunning photos!!
🔹 Totality Ends – (3:31 AM)
The red hue fades as the Moon starts exiting the umbra.
🔹 Partial Eclipse Ends – (4:47 AM)
Only the faint penumbral shadow remains.
🔹 Penumbral Eclipse Ends – (6:00 AM)
The show is over!
This is the only total lunar eclipse of 2025, so don’t miss it! 🌕🔭✨
