Well wash trading isn't happening via on-chain transactions, that would be exchange volume which isn't measured here (https://www.blockchain.com/explorer/charts/estimated-transaction-volume-usd). There's a lot of cross-border payments it's used for. I don't know what else.
And as a point of reference, Visa was ~38.6 billion USD/day for 2022. So 2 billion/day isn't several orders of magnitude off.
