I think most of it is really pervasive norms. Speaking English seems like a natural thing to do for millions, and for an old like me it's hard to learn how to become fluent in another language, especially if all I hear is English around me...but it is a learned thing. So is "dominate or be dominated" "thinking".

Every generation is generally becoming less violent. But, certainly at this point, the fascists are doing a -great- job of rushing the species right towards extinction.
