Facebook has handled about 2-3 million appeals to its moderation decisions. 25% of them come from the org itself the other 75% from users. Their guidelines are, unsurprisingly, not airtight in terms of moderation practice (b/c this is impossible). They're discussing an issue where the prime minister of Cambodia gave a long speech on FB a small part of which could be interpreted as an incitement to violence during election season. How to handle? Took 106 days to decide. They operate by consensus.
