Remember Apple builds obsolescence into their products. I have Bose earbuds that are 10 years old that work with all my Apple devices including my new iPad. However, my AirPods 1 and 2 generation stopped working on my Apple devices & Apple Store stated their software were no longer being updated so the new updates on my devices would not work with them.
