The reason they work the way they do is because Youtube forces that as the only approach to actually survive, which incentivises basically shilling for free product to hit deadlines from both Youtube (if you don't pump out videos you vanish) and the vendors themselves (who set embargoes so that it's a race to be first). It's _sad_, and untrustworthy, but I can't muster hatred of individuals for systemic issues.",
