Getting to the point where I might need to mute “bluesky” or “mastodon” because the Discourse™ is getting so thick in here I can barely breathe.

Please, if you are going to do some Discourse™ing, I am begging you, please refrain from referring to a hypothetical person you made up as an idiot or “unserious” or use clown emojis or whatever. Just show some empathy for people with different needs and values. This is a fraught situation and we all have lots of other intense anxieties right now.
