My wife managed to get a nail through her tire's sidewall, then pull a 7,000# trailer 75 miles and nothing bad happened. Lucky!
It was a Goodyear wrangler with "Kevlar reinforcement". That might be more than just a marketing ploy.
It's legal to run studded snow tires starting on the 15th, I think I will put them on early this year.
