I had some experience with the resistance movement in communist Poland, but that was a system that was forced upon us. I don't think the same works for resisting a democratically elected strongman. It's more important to work on convincing people than on organizing protests. I'd put resistance by engagement before confrontation.
Social media offer tremendous opportunity for engagement. How I wish we had Twitter in communist Poland. Instead I was handing out anti-government fliers during Martial Law. I think the X-odus is counterproductive. It's giving up territory without a fight. Intellectuals are prone to empty gestures. Look where it got us!
