I am an old person who will 100% misuse the latest slang with reckless and cringe abandon. I will accept that I am not a relevant demographic for much of anything these days. But I will not participate in the "my generation did blah blah blah and your generation sucks" nonsense because that's literally not how things work. Yes, when we came of age is a factor in shaping our personalities, but it's only one of many, and not even a very significant one. Stop equating age with identity!
