Yep, and that's why in Night of the Living Dead they're ghouls not zombies even though they keep misusing the term. Although in that film I think they might be more like a ghast than a ghoul since Romero had dead people rise up from the grave and eat the living. Where a ghoul is either a live creature or a supernatural desert demon.
