Very interesting language used by Trump today, and I can’t quite figure out the angle.
Suggesting that Putin has lost the war in Ukraine and it’s time to change position.
It’s subtle, but very, very different from previous rhetoric. Could just be that he’s lost his marbles and is rambling, but seemed cogent given the context.
There’s hope then that whatever his advisors have told him has shifted the needle enough for Putin’s counter-rhetoric to make its way back to Trump, and for him to take that personally. Making Putin ‘Trump hostile’ is arguably a net positive for world peace.
