I don't know who needs to hear this, but "immune dysfunction" includes a whole lot more than just immunodeficiency. In fact, some of the ways our immune system can fail are transparently worse than immunodeficiency, where *causing immunodeficiency* is the only way to save a person's life.
COVID causes immune *dysfunction*, in all its glorious horror. Autoimmunity, cancer, dementia, and immunodeficiency are all included in this category of disease.
