Antigraviator is a game that I should like but sadly don’t.
I’m a big fan of futuristic hyper-racers. I love F-Zero and WipEout. But in my mind, the best game of this kind was F-Zero GX and that came out 20 years ago.
The graphics look great. No complaints in that department. They really do give a sense of speed.
Where the whole thing comes apart is in the controls. Go ahead and make a turn without crashing into something. I dare you. It supposed to have a neat barrel roll feature, but that doesn’t seem to do anything tangible.
There’s so many great racing games out there, even in this specific genre, that it just doesn’t make sense to play this one.
And for what what you’re getting, the specs are just over the top. This requires a 2.7Ghz Intel i5 CPU, 8GB RAM, Nvidia GTX 660Ti, and 6GB storage. It seems all the attention was put into the graphics.
But the actual gameplay? It’s second rate.
Look, if you want a better futuristic hyper-racer that’s thematically similar go with Redout or Redout 2. Same deal but it’s actually good.
As for Antigraviator, it’s a waste of time.
