the soy-based vegan ground "meat" i bought isn't great, i've decided. the flavour is too distinct and doesn't blend well. and i just realised what it reminds me of: dry cat food.

i believe they use soy in cat food and add flavouring to make it more meat-like, and that's what it reminds me of.

so when i put it in tacos, for example, it just tastes like tacos with cat food in it.
