I recently read Blade of the Betrayer, and while I appreciate the artistry and effort you poured into your novel, I found myself unsettled by its apparent reliance on Eurocentric themes and values.
The world you’ve built, while richly detailed, seems narrowly focused on a singular, idealized vision of "Western" history and culture. The emphasis on hierarchical power structures, Christian-like religious undertones, and glorification of war feels exclusionary to readers.
As a Jewish reader, I noticed an absence of diversity in cultural frameworks. I understand that authors often write from their own inspirations, and it’s clear you have a love for certain historical periods and themes. However, I encourage you to consider how this focus can unintentionally narrow the appeal and resonance of your work. Diversity, in every sense, enriches storytelling and brings readers from all walks of life closer to the worlds we love to explore.
