TIL. Still learning but my guess is it’s a lot easier with merkle trees as you can verify that you have received all subsequent pieces and just present a forward going cursor. With nostr you wouldn’t know what you’ve missed in the past. Bloom filters might help. Ie the client sends a filter and the server pushes everything that is guaranteed to have been seen
