My inaccurate memory of why is something like Bitcoin allows for opt in governance through fidelity bonds (as seen in join market) and other mechanisms I'm sure, and that Bitcoin allows for a transparent government budget where if its set up right the people of that country can coerce their government into making decisions they want (I don't really remember how that one was supposed to work and my use of the word coerce is my cliff note understanding of it)
