The micro-climate here (near Igo, CA) is a little strange. We have cold wet winters, but not a lot of snow or below-freezing days, and then summers are dry and really hot (it reached over 43℃ (110℉) last year!) but then the temperature at night drops thirty degrees (Celsius, in Fahrenheit it's more like fifty!) So temperature control is going to be important.
