Flipping through my 1973 Norton’s Star Atlas, I saw the trajectory of the asteroid Eros during its Jan/Feb 1975 opposition sketched in pencil.
I had completely forgotten that I observed this! It moved from 48°N to the celestial equator over 6 weeks.
