Since we're talking explicitly about BBC News, I'd like to point out that AllSides.com consistently ranks them as [leaning slightly left of center](https://www.allsides.com/news-source/bbc-news-media-bias#MayJuly2024).
However, it *is* very slight, and (in the latest review) it was mostly admitted right-leaning reviewers that came to the conclusion.
> While the panel did not see much bias in BBC coverage, one reviewer with a bias on the right thought BBC was Lean Left.
>
>Bias was seen in the piece Biden considering major Supreme Court reform: report, as it used the spin word "Trump attacked" and showed by omission as it stated, “The high court also threw out Mr Biden's student loan forgiveness plan - which would have wiped off billions in debt for Americans.” Here, BBC was unbalanced by not noting how much the plan would cost taxpayers.
>
>A Lean Right reviewer also argued Clarence Thomas' wife showed "support for overturning the 2020 presidential election when Trump lost" was biased phrasing.
AllSides.com also does a better job at [talking about the center bias](https://www.allsides.com/blog/center-media-bias-rating-doesnt-mean-what-you-think-it-means) than I do. 😅
