I think a sign of maturity is being able to see a bad take about something and go "haha yikes" instead of engaging to argue about it. It's just like... having enough of the experience and knowledge to know that this person 1) obviously don't know enough about the subject and 2) will probably definitely not change their mind, and therefore not worth the time and effort. I got other stuff to do.
Immature isn't an insult. I'd say it's more along the lines of 'inexperienced'.
And this is me talking about my past self and cringing too. LOL. So much wasted time.
