Let's look at the Tesla situation logically:
1) EV buyers are majority liberal in orientation.
2) MAGA buyers are much more oriented toward conventional non-EV engines.
3) Category (1) buyers are now massively disincentivized to buy Telsas given Musk's behavior.
4) MAGA buyers who might consider Teslas as a show of support for Musk must also consider the reality of being a mobile target for anti-Musk protests.
5) The set of persons in either (1) or (2) who would now want to buy Teslas seems significantly diminished with little prospect for improvement so long as Musk is so tightly associated with Tesla.
