I can honestly say that while I agree with the overall sentiment you’ve shared; I don’t think it’s quite that binary.
Sure, sanctions didn’t collapse reliance on the dollar… but the BRICS deal could have started the dollars global demise.
Which segues into Russia, and most BRICS members, unofficially relying on BTC and Gold as stores of actual value off the balance sheets.
I do see a world, and not so far from now, where a good chunk of the globe used Bitcoin as an actual means of exchange or value token.
What will determine this, as you said, is the utility and infrastructure built around it, of course.
