We're often told #economic growth is good for us & much social support for #capitalism is based on it being 'best' able to deliver material wellbeing.
If we equate wellbeing with #lifeexpectancy (which I accept is a quantity theory of life not a qualitative one), then what is striking is the country (USA) who many would argue is the most #capitalist major economy in the world, is failing to deliver on exactly that metric;
there is little correlation between GDP growth & life expectancy!
