I don't think the Netanyahu people are going to stop until the deed is done. I don't think most Israelis even know that. I think if you took their bombs away they might be fine working with machetes.
And there's no way they want the hostages back. That only makes it harder. They'll kill the hostages themselves and hide the evidence so there's no argument to stop.
