To clarify;

This is 'remote media' so photos, videos etc not posted from mstdn.social or masto.ai but other instances. it all gets 'saved' in our storage also for faster loading but also when a remote instance goes offline etc

Media that has been 'reposted' or boosted for example will stay

When someone on mstdn or masto visits an older post with that removed media again it will be automatically redownloaded

But since we pay for each TB it can be quite costly.. 💸
