During some social media doomscrolling the other day I hit a reel from some influencer where he did say something relatively profound, which I'll quote:

"Nothing you're going to buy in a mall is going to be around in ten years."

And that struck me as a fantastically pithy indictment of consumer capitalism on the whole and orienting our civilization around it in pursuit of mystical growth unicorns.
